The Hermon School Department accepts funding through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965. As part of ESEA, the Hermon School Department is required to provide a reasonable opportunity for public comment on the ESEA consolidated application and consider such comment prior to the submission of the application. Our ESEA team, which is comprised of stakeholder representatives, is proposing the following allocation of funds and projects for the 2020-2021 school year:

Potential Title IA projects (Approximately $213,916.00):

*Staffing – both teacher and ed. tech support in K-8 reading and mathematics

*Family engagement opportunities

*Curriculum supplies and materials

*Technology for the Title I program

*Providing support to homeless learners

Potential Title IIA projects (Approximately $15,000):

*Class size reduction position

Potential Title V projects (Approximately $28,124.40) 

*Professional development for staff

*Memberships to regional professional development organizations

*Increased support and enrichment for students in STEM-related subjects

*Development and implementation of a Computer Science club

*Engaging student materials and resources in STEM-related subjects
